This model mixes some Catchan, Cadian and Tau parts. The legs, arms and Las-gun are Catchan while the head and torso are Cadian.
While building this figure I noticed that both the Catchan legs and the Cadian torso have a belt on them. If the two parts are combined as is it results in a figure with a disproportionatly long body. I found that of the two, it was easier to trim the belt from the torso rather than the legs. Once its done the two bits glue together fine without any noticable oddness.
This soldier is clearly an experienced old hand who has learnt what works for him after years of campaigning. He has adopted the newer issue helmet and torso armor but opted to retain his older pattern boots and fatigue trousers. He is also wearing a short-sleeved shirt under his armor to avoid overheating in combat.
